Seizing territory was the best way to keep their plans, or more specifically their advancement towards enacting those plans, away from prying eyes. Franz again issued commands, commands he know would be followed with zealous fervour. Wolfgang was missing, no doubt due to machinations of another interested party, but he had enough resources to get this area cleared. The Delaques and their ‘mutant’ hunter had been a problem for a while… the orders were simple: Search and Destroy.

Is anything ever simple in the Underhive? Franz pondered this as he injected stimms around the wound site. That creature had torn two of his men asunder before laying him low. They’d achieved their mission, that was what the Four-armed Emperor demanded.

Search and Destroy

This time out I faced Peader in a scrap to seize more territory. It was another excellent game, though the Nacht-ghul popping up in my backfield was a pain! It took out two models, including Franz, my Captain, before a bolter shot took care of it… only for the Delaque Webber to pop in! Thankfully Overwatch took care of him. Meanwhile the rest of my crew set about performing their mission.

I’d infiltrated one model in a position to search for (and find!) a weapons cache in turn 1, but some Psychic shenanigans saw him carry them to the enemy! Elsewhere my searching was a bit of a mixed bag, but thankfully Peader didn’t have the numbers to deal with my gang.

Some well placed shotgun blasts, bolter rounds and strategic closing of doors helped me to take control and Peader decided the scrap wasn’t worth the attrition and voluntarily bottled. Thankfully I didn’t pick up any particularly serious injuries.

Another excellent game – we’re getting to the mid point in the campaign. It’s really fun!

Until next time,

Owen
